The Hooker Oak Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is a passionate group of parents, teachers and staff who work together to enhance the educational experience of all students at Hooker Oak Elementary School. Being involved is one way to further your child’s education, learn more about the school and meet other parents in our community.
Besides raising over $40,000/year, the PTO makes the decisions on where the money is spent and which events to bring to the school—100% of this money raised goes directly back to benefit our students.
The PTO initiates community-based events and family fun nights to include the entire Hooker Oak community. We lay out the year of events and fundraisers and are the main people responsible for their success:
And, every year, through the efforts of the PTO, curriculum components that are not funded by the state or district are made possible. These include:
We are always looking for more members. Please consider helping in any way that fits your schedule. There are many things that you can do to help. Perhaps you can dedicate several hours to a special event or fundraiser. Maybe you can be a Room Rep and liaison for your child’s teacher. The amount of time you spend participating in PTO activities is up to you. The important thing is that you become involved in your child’s educational experience.
We need your help in making all aspects of the PTO successful from making major decisions on what programs to bring to the Hooker Oak students to volunteering at the school events.
If you are interested in joining the PTO Board, please join our meeting every third Thursday of the month from 6-8 pm . Contact us for the Zoom link and Passcode. (check events tab for any changes to the calendar).
